The IP4MaaS project, funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020, aimed to enhance the adoption of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) by testing technologies from the Innovation Programme 4 (IP4) of Shift2Rail. The project conducted demonstrations in six European cities, including Barcelona, where commuters tested a travel companion app to optimize multi-modal transport. It enhanced user engagement and personalized recommendations, connecting rail operators, Mobility as a Service (MaaS), and other transport providers.
